Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Kitchen Sales and Design Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of kitchen design principles, exceptional sales acumen, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire kitchen design and sales process, from initial consultation to final installation, ensuring their vision is brought to life.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Needs Assessment:
- Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, and lifestyle requirements for their new kitchen.
- Interpret client ideas and translate them into practical and aesthetically pleasing design concepts.
Design & Planning:
- Develop detailed kitchen layouts and designs using CAD software (e.g., 2020 Design, SketchUp, or similar) or other design tools.
- Present design concepts, material options, and product selections (cabinetry, countertops, appliances, fixtures) to clients with confidence and clarity.
- Make recommendations for optimal space utilization, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, including detailed specifications and pricing.
Sales & Relationship Management:
- Actively pursue sales opportunities, follow up on leads, and close sales effectively.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, providing continuous support and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address client concerns and objections professionally, offering solutions and alternatives.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Project Coordination & Administration:
- Collaborate closely with installers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, designs, orders, and project progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and design innovations.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and showroom duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in kitchen sales and design.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
Skills:
- Proficiency in kitchen design software (e.g., 2020 Design, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of kitchen cabinetry, countertop materials, appliances, and general construction principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in kitchen design (e.g., CKD, AKBD) are a significant advantage.
Other:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for client site visits.
